Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Carpenter and builder of Upper Ward, Dundalk, listed as such in Pigot & Co.'s City of Dublin and Hibernian Provincial Directory (1824), 148. James Clarke was the contractor for the construction of the county infirmary at Dundalk, erected in 1834-1835 to designs by THOMAS SMITH [2] THOMAS SMITH [2] , but died before its completion, leaving a widow and children.(1)
