Nature: Erected by Ballast Board of Dublin. Circular tower of cut granite, 36ft high. 3 flights of winding stairs. Copper cupol ornamented with a weather cock. . Revolving light first exhibited May 1818. Lighthouse built too high and use discontinued in 1854.
