Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of London, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1900 (RIBA, 2001), I, 266. In 1873-1877 Brooks supervised additions and alterations to Humewood, Co. Wicklow, for William Wentworth Fitzwilliam Hume Dick, as well as additions to St Peter's church, Kiltegan, near the entrance gates of the house.

Nature: Additions in 13th century French Gothic style, comprising sanctuary clerestory, south aisle and arcade; also Hume family mausoleum in Early Christian style with steep stone roof.
