Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, active in the 1790s. According to the French Marine attaché Charles Etienne Coquebert de Montbret, who visited Limerick in 1791, Smyth was in charge of the design of the county gaol at Limerick at the time.(1) The original architect, WILLIAM BLACKBURN  WILLIAM BLACKBURN had died in December 1790.
