Gardener and landscape architect, of Dublin. George Dean, 'lately gardener to the Right Hon. Viscount Powerscourt', placed an advertisement in Faulkner's Dublin Journal for 6-10 January 1747, offering to undertake 'surveying, designing and laying out all sorts of plans in the garden way with other improvements' including pleasure gardens, parterres, 'Wilderness or Wood work', labyrinths, and kitchen gardens.
