Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Scottish architect and engineer specialising in building in water, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (2008), 983-984, and A.W. Skempton et al., A Biographical Dictionary of Civil Engineers in Great Britain and Ireland I(2002), 658-661. In Ireland Stevens designed Sarah Bridge over the River Liffey in Dublin (1783-1791) and is also said to have designed some locks on the Grand Canal.(1)
