Valuer and surveyor, of Bristol. James Thomas Burge,(1) a pupil of Peter Addie, Bristol City Valuer, gained first place in the competitive examination for the post of valuer and surveyor in the department of the General Valuation and Boundary Survey, Ireland, in 1907.(2) If he actually took up the post, he had left it by the end of 1914.(3)
