Architect, of London, and pioneer of radial planning in prison design, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (4th edn., 2008), 126-128. At the age of nineteen he submitted designs in the Dublin Royal Exchange competition, which was won by THOMAS COOLEY . He designed Limerick Gaol, c. 1789, and also designed alterations to Newgate Gaol, Dublin.
