Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, who assisted RICHARD EVANS  RICHARD EVANS in the construction of the Grand Canal. In 1790 following the dismissal of Evans, William Rhodes was sent to Dublin to start work on the Circular Line.(1) An elevation by him of the aqueduct to carry the Grand Canal over the River Barrow at Monasterevin is in the Victoria and Albert Museum.(2)
