Building contractor, of London. In July 1870 the London correspondent of The Freeman reported that 'steps are being taken to repair the loss caused by the recent tremendous conflagration at Pera, and that Mr Quin, a native of the Queen's County, but for some years established as a contractor in the metropolis, has undertaken, in conjunction with some Belgian friends, to send out a staff of men, with ample plant, including sawing machines, to rebuild the portion of Stamboul destroyed by the late fire'.(1)
