Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Dublin. William A. Griffith, who, according to the 1911 census, was born in 1908 or 1909, was a son of JOHN WILLIAM GRIFFITH  JOHN WILLIAM GRIFFITH and his wife Hilda, née Alexander,(1) a grandson of Sir JOHN PURSER GRIFFITH  JOHN PURSER GRIFFITH and a brother of EVAN PURSER GRIFFITH EVAN PURSER GRIFFITH . He studied architecture at Liverpool University circa 1931 and at the Architectural Association in London from 1932-1934. On his return to Dublin he appears to have entered briefly into partnership with ELIZABETH SIDES.  ELIZABETH SIDES.

A collection of some of Griffith's student work and some later designs was loaned to the Irish Architectural Archive in 1985 by his son, John Griffith. (Acc.85/166.4-12)
