Architectural partnership, of Coleraine, Co. Derry, formed in 1891 or 1892 between WILLIAM J. GIVEN and his brother MAXWELL GIVEN . The firm operated from premises in the Diamond, Coleraine.(1) After the death of William Given in 1923, Maxwell Given took the twenty-year-old MALCOLM MCQUIGG into partnership. Maxwell Given died in 1934, and McQuigg carried on the practice under the name W. & J. Given until his own retirement in 1974. Branch offices had been opened in Derry by 1954 and in Dungannon by 1961.
