Engineer, of Canada. James J. Donnelly, son of James Donnelly of Lisanurlan near Longford, emigrated to Canada after serving in the Dublin Metropolitan Police for three years. In Canada he qualified with distinction as an engineer at the University of Montreal and went on to become one of Canada's leading engineers. He died at Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 18 May 1918.
