Carpenter and builder, of Dublin. Arthur Darley, a younger son of ARTHUR DARLEY [1] ARTHUR DARLEY [1] , was born in 1740. He married Elizabeth Mason in 1766 and had several children, the eldest of whom was ROBERT DARLEY. ROBERT DARLEY. The young couple was living in Marlborough Street in 1769 when their second son Henry was baptised in St Thomas's Church, Dublin, and in Mecklenburg Street in 1771 when their second daughter Elizabeth was also baptised in the same church. Arthur Darley, carpenter, leased a house in Dorset Street to Margaret Reed on 20 June 1782. He appears in Wilson's Dublin Directory from 1783 to 1786 at 42 Dorset Street and from 1787 to 1794 at 53 Dorset Street. Bryan Bolger records measuring works of various kinds by Arthur Darley between 1790 and 1793, including houses built as speculative developments in Temple Street and Gardiner Street in 1791. Some of the drawings in a collection of late-eighteenth century designs for chimneypieces by GEORGE DARLEY GEORGE DARLEY , HILL DARLEY HILL DARLEY and JOHN KEANE JOHN KEANE in the Royal Irish Academy are endorsed 'Arthur Darley, 46 Dorset Street'. He died in 1818.
